So I'm seeing this as an opening for publicity of my photos. One thing they asked is if I would write reviews in addition to taking the photos. I know my writing isn't bad, but when I'm out taking photos I tend to be focused on watching more than listening. Tami indicated they would hook me up with press access for two to the venue provided I gave them 2 weeks advance notice.
The photos I take for the events covered will be exclusive on the web for RA. I can still post to my personal photo galleries also. It seems I'll be able to pursue publicity in print also, provided they don't appear on the web also. RA understands that I'm freelance and could take on press coverage for other groups also. So I'm open to creating additional opportunities - hopefully some that will have money involved since this doesn't.
So I'm in search of a colleague to assist me in writing music event reviews and posting announcements. If you're interested, contact me. I would prefer a partner that would assist me with travel from Royal Oak to the venue (typically in Detroit).
