I'm looking at the Sandisk 1gb Extreme3 memory stick at B&H and really think that would be great for the trip to Miami. My existing memory sticks have a transfer rate of 9mb/second. The Extreme3 has a transfer rate of 18mb/second, it also handles temperatures -13 to +185 F. On the beach the heat could become a problem I suppose.
When I compare prices for the UltraII and Extreme3 there's about a $25 difference.
I searched around the internet and couldn't find any stores in the US offering. I was getting hits in Germay, Japan, Taiwan, ... I think this is new product. The product information says it was developed for 6-8 megapixel cameras. My Sony F717 is a 5 megapixel camera.
