So my dog was picked up by someone working for a kennel nearby - they saw her out in the front lawns near my house. This isn't strange. My dog stays out of the street and goes at most 3 houses from mine. She's well tempered - just a cute Lahsa Ahpso (yeah I've got to post some photos).
I didn't get going to the fireworks until after 8pm. My neighbor told me about the kennel picking Kelly up - I had no idea, they left no note at my house! So I hop on my bike and head to the bus stop. Next bus wasn't for another 30 minutes!!! This isn't working, what to do? Well - I got the bike, time to ride. So I ride down Woodward and realize I'm outpacing the bus that's coming. I got as far south as I could around 9:20 after leaving the bus stop at 8:15. I can't get to Canada, that's blocked off.
Debated about going over to DAX (Woodbridge), choose instead to stick in downtown. Not much time until the fireworks start. I talked with the BCBSM parking attendants that I know and locked the bike up there.
I'm walking back along Larned with my camera ready and tripod slung over my shoulder and I see Steve & Dani. We found a spot at Woodward & Larned, setup the tripod behind people parked in chairs to watch. Then took in the fireworks. I snapped about 375 photos. It was just click, click, click. I have to sort them out. Photos posted soon.
After the fireworks we headed to Delux. I walked in and there's Drew and Erica - I had no idea it was their event. So I'm feeling very welcomed, pull out the camera and start taking photos. Great music playing, dancing, just a great fun group of people - many whom I know through DetroitClubScene.
